Why Superfood Snacks are vegan?vegan symbol

The Vegan/Non Vegan issue has been a taboo issue now for many many years. People on both sides of the argument are VERY adamant about their point of view.

Vegans will insist that you don't kill animals. Well non vegans will are very adamant you need Meat in you diet for balance.

Our philosophy at Superfood Snacks from the beginning has been "Full Circle Sustainability." Supporting Vegan ingredients plays a significant role in maintaining this circle of sustainability.

What would it be like if you could just add in a couple raw snacks into your diet and feel a whole lot better and help sustain the planet at the same time?

Adding in more Vegan foods to your diet can do wonders for your body. Vegan foods contain NO CHOLESTEROL, and can help you lose weight. It's all about taking baby steps. Simply start adding in more superfoods into your diet.

Sure some people will just make an overnight transition and that can work for some. Some will never take out all meat and dairy products from their diet. We understand everyone's body is different and so is everyones point of view.

Here are some info from Wikipedia to consider:

According to Livestock's Long Shadow, an FAO report, the meat industry contributes about 18 percent of global greenhouse-gas emissions Furthermore, Carbon Dioxide is not the only greenhouse gas.

The livestock industry is a major contributor of these gases through fossil fuel use. In America, more than one-third of the fossil fuels produced are used to raise animals for food. The result is higher temperatures (0.8 °C (33.4 °F) in the last century), and fuel poverty.

Another agricultural effect is on land degradation. More than half the world's crops are used to feed animals. Further, perennial crops used to feed humans absorb five to seven times more runoff from storms than animal feed crops.

With 30 percent of the earth's land devoted to raising livestock, a major cutback is needed to keep up with growing population. A 2010 UN report explained that Western dietary preferences for meat would be unsustainable as the world population rose to the forecasted 9.1 billion by 2050.

Demand for meat is expected to double by this date; meat consumption is steadily rising in countries such as China that once followed more sustainable, vegetable-based diets.

Animals fed on grain need much more water than grain crops. In tracking food animal production from the feed through to the dinner table, the inefficiencies of meat, milk and egg production range from a 4:1 energy input to protein output ratio up to 54:1.

The result is that producing animal-based food is typically much less efficient than the direct harvesting of grains, vegetables, legumes, seeds and fruits for human consumption. A person existing chiefly on animal protein requires 10 times more land to provide adequate food than someone living on vegetable.

The FAO initiative concluded that "the livestock sector emerges as one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global."

For most people the best thing I have found is just to simply start adding in more raw, vegan organic superfoods into your diet and take it slow. Notice how you feel and look because thats the real test of results.

Here's a quick tip: Instead of butter, try Olive Oil. As a kid growing up with an Italian Mom, we didn't even have butter on the dinner table until the later years. The Magic of Mixing Olive oil and salt together creates just about the same taste and is so much better for you. Try it!

In conclusion I'd like to say, help yourself and the planet and try Superfood Snacks today!
