Mesquite pod meal comes from the mesquite pods that bear from the thorny Mesquite Tree, which is also thought of as a Shrub. It grows commonly in dry, desert type climates. In the North American region, it can be found in the desert areas of Texas and California among other states.
The shrub can grow between 20-40 feet high and more than 100 feet down below the earth to search for sources of water.
Mesquite is a staple superfood that has been used traditionally by Native Americans for many years. It is also a source of food for wildlife, such as desert coyotes and livestock.
