Cayenne, also known as Capsicum, was used traditionally by the Aztec Civilization in Mexico.

Just the right amount of cayenne can be a wonderful addition to raw food snacks and of course raw chocolate. They work really well together.
The capsicum fruit is technically a berry which grows on a shrub type plant. These shrubs are commonly found in tropical climates.
It was originally know as Guinea Pepper to the Europeans, introduced by Christopher Columbus.
